Will Graham hosted an online Christmas special from his grandparents’ home, presenting a message about the gift of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Will Graham Christmas From Little Piney Cove” began streaming Dec. 23 on WillGrahamLive.com as well as on Facebook and YouTube. The program also featured music from Grammy and multiple Dove Award winner Jason Crabb.
Located near Montreat, North Carolina, the home of Billy and Ruth Graham holds a special place in Will’s heart.
“For me, as a grandson, I look around, and I see all these memories in all these places,” Will said. “I was always looking at the fireplace over here because that’s where our stockings were hung, and I was waiting to see them fill up.”
But although stockings and gifts were at the forefront of Will’s mind as a child, in his Christmas special he wanted to explain what Christmas is really all about.
Jesus Christ was 100% man, Will said, and also 100% God, and as such, He is the mediator between man and God.
“He is the only one who could reconcile man to God, and that’s why He came,” Will said. “His whole purpose in this life was to come and to make a way for man to have a relationship with God. And right now, there’s many of you who are watching, there’s something missing in your life, and you know it. You’re like, ‘There’s got to be more to life than I’m experiencing right now. I don’t know my meaning; I don’t know what my purpose in life is.’
“My friends, it’s found in Jesus Christ.”
Will explained that forgiveness is a gift that God offers us freely.
“When someone gives you a present, it’s not yours until you do one thing: You take it. You receive it. You can’t enjoy it unless you take it and receive it. And that’s what I’m asking you to do tonight: to take that gift, the gift that Jesus paid for.
“It was an expensive gift. It cost God His only begotten Son. That’s how much He cared for you. He was willing to pay that price so that you could have it for free. All you have to do is receive it by believing, asking Jesus to come into your life.
“And I want to give you that opportunity right now. … Are you willing to come to Him right now? If you want to do that, I’m going to ask you to say this prayer with me:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I’m sorry for my sins. Please forgive me. I believe You died for my sins. I believe You rose from the grave. I now turn from my sins, and I invite You to come into my life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for hearing my prayer. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.”
