We dined in the home of a well-known entertainer one evening. His television show came on just after dinner.
We all arranged ourselves comfortably around the living room and den to watch. He left to watch in another room by himself.
When the show was over and he returned, it was his sweet little wife who met him first, throwing her arms around him: “You were wonderful, dear. Simply wonderful!” And you could tell she meant every word of it.
Love is not only the “union of two good forgivers” but also the “union of two good appreciators.”
