Georgia Runoff: Warnock Wins First Senate Seat

The Rev. Raphael Warnock, a pro-abortion Democrat, has narrowly defeated pro-life Sen. Kelly Loeffler in the first of two contentious Georgia runoff races.

Warnock, the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, has been outspoken about his views on abortion, tweeting on Dec. 8, “I’m a pro-choice pastor.” To which pro-life advocate and president of Live Action, Lila Rose, responded: “This is grotesque. Jesus loves children—and hates the shedding of innocent blood.”

Endorsed by the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and the nation’s most influential LGBTQ organization, the Human Rights Campaign, Warnock has expressed his support for the so-called Equality Act, as well his commitment to support judicial nominees who would uphold Roe v. Wade.

“When a church leader calls evil good and good evil, he confuses and misleads the flock,” Franklin Graham warned. “This is nothing less than false teaching warned of in 2 Peter. The womb is sacred. Forming of life is a miracle! In the Book of Luke, John the Baptist from his mother’s womb recognized the presence of Jesus in Mary’s womb—meaning, life and purpose were already set in place. It should break our hearts that any pastor would promote a procedure intended to end in the death of a child. Abortion is ending a life—abortion is murder. Proverbs 14:12 says, ‘There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.’ (NKJV).”
