A controversial new curriculum in some of Western Australia’s public schools designed to curb domestic violence and increase gender equity reportedly has a more radical edge: introducing young students to transgenderism. The program is drawing criticism from the nation’s prime minister and the Australian Family Association (AFA).
According to reports in the Christian Examiner and Australia’s PerthNow.com, Prime Minister Scott Morrison said in a radio interview the curriculum is another reason he sends his daughter to a private school. The AFA says the program should be optional because it explores “human sexual identity and expression, which was a fundamental human right of parents” to discuss with their children.
