British Schoolchildren Taught There Are More Than 100 Genders

A BBC education film, titled “Identity—Understanding Sexual and Gender Identities,” argues that there are more than 100 gender identities. The film, part of a series of nine films released by BBC Teach, supposedly supports the physical, social and health education (PSHE) curriculum in British schools.

The short clips are shown to 9 and 10-year-old students as a means to explore controversial topics such as sex and body image.

In the “Identity” video, a young boy is shown asking, “What are the different gender identities?”

The teacher in the video, Kate Daniels, replies to the boy: “You know, there are so many gender identities. We know that we have got male and female, but there are over 100, if not more, gender identities now.”

Daniels then goes on to say that some people are “bi-gender,” feeling as though they’re two genders at once, or “gender-queer,” deciding that they don’t want to identify as any particular gender.

The Royal College of General Practitioners, the professional body for general practitioners in the United Kingdom, currently recognizes six genders—male, female, gender-neutral, non-binary, gender-fluid and gender-queer.

Stephanie Davies-Arai, founder of Transgender Trend, a foundation that represents parental concerns about the surge of transgender diagnoses in young children, said, “This is made-up nonsense. People are free to identify as anything they like but this does not change the reality that there are only two sexes. To suggest that being male or female is just a personal identity is false and will inevitably confuse children into believing that their biological sex is a choice.”

On Good Morning Britain, Piers Morgan, host of the show, went head to head with Benjamin Butterworth, a British journalist and commentator, on the absurdity of promoting the idea that there are more than 100 genders.

“Can I, under this new world of self-identification, … identify as a two-spirit, neutrois penguin?” Morgan asked sarcastically, picking two of the genders off the list of 100. Morgan was referring to The Sea Life London aquarium’s recent announcement it is raising a penguin chick as “genderless.”

“I totally agree with Piers Morgan that this is nonsense. 100 different gender identities—where will it end?” said Franklin Graham on Facebook. “… This is not gender education, it’s gender absurdity. The fact is, when you depart from the truth of God’s Word, you end up with chaos. It’s sad that a generation of children are increasingly being fed these lies. Jesus said, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female’” (Matthew 19:4). People’s opinions change, culture changes, but God’s Word is never wrong and never changes.”

In another video from the BBC series, called “Respecting Myself and Others,” an actor tells the children that those who are critical of transgender ideology “just don’t know any better yet.” And yet another video shows a teacher telling students that “people can go to prison if it’s shown they’re disrespecting or being hateful to people because of a difference that person perceives.”
