Eight people were killed and 11 injured when a 29-year-old truck driver, Sayfullo Saipov, deliberately drove a rented truck down a bicycle path near the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan on Oct. 31.
The ISIS-inspired attack is the deadliest on New York City since 9/11.
Following the tragedy, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team (RRT) deployed an experienced group of crisis-trained chaplains to New York to comfort, support and offer hope to those hurting.
In times like this, we must “pray for our leaders, that they will put aside their politics and work together to come up with security solutions,” Franklin Graham said on Facebook after the attack. “Also, we must continue to pray for the families of those killed yesterday and for all those who were injured.”
